After gathering my purchases and paying the elderly Amish woman who worked there, my son who is 8, wanted to buy a little treasure for himself with his hard earned money. I only had one boy with me on this trip while the others were at home. And I took a moment to quietly lean down and remind him about counting change...as he is a bit rusty after a long summer of play. And you know what she said? She asked if I were a homeschooling mama...because I had a particular way about me with my son that she noticed right off that was very pleasing to see.
I wont lie. For a moment my heart swelled with pride and my eyes became moist. I was so proud in the fact that, I often pray to God before we go to town that I will be seen and known as a compassionate, patient mama. All too often I see other mamas at the end of their rope at the store, and it breaks my heart to hear some of the things they say...or worse to see some of the things they do to their children in public.
It was a simple observation to be sure, but moved me none the less.
And yes, it is hardest to tell the ones we are closest to, our deepest heart felt prayers for them.

I am so glad you are feeling better.
I hope over time you will have more chances to blog as I always look forward to a new post popping up in my reader!
Love, Kristin~Kristin~https://www.blogger.com/profile/07414904472345377597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36556945.post-81003157816706546562011-08-18T15:04:37.010-07:002011-08-18T15:04:37.010-07:00Well said!
